SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY We will be collecting monetary donations for the Good Samaritan Food Pantry in support of the Souper Bowl of Caring Ministry.  Collections will be immediately following the service at the Sanctuary exits.

DIRECTORIES – Even though, we proofread the directory roster many times (in a ten-month wait), some things changed that we may have missed.  We will make a list of corrections to distribute at a later date to everyone.  Contact Anna Damron if you found any mistakes in spelling or information.  If you have not picked up your directory, please see Misty.

CHURCH SECRETARY – Misty Bandy is once again the acting Church Secretary. If there is anything, she can help you with please feel free to contact her at the church office or on her cell phone. If there is no answer, please leave a message and she will get back to you as-soon-as possible.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE – The spring term has started, and the need is great. If you would like to assist college students with expenses, you may designate your donation as “Educational Fund.” Students appreciate any assistance they are given.

SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES – In efforts to love our neighbor and community well, we are still practicing social distancing at all our meetings. Our Sanctuary is sanitized between each service to further ensure your safety.

You are encouraged to wear your mask, frequently wash hands, use hand sanitizer, and maintain distance between families in the sanctuary. Masks, disinfectant wipes, and sanitizer are available throughout the building

RE: GBC Worship Schedule

Let me commend you on your faithfulness to the Lord through this difficult season. Thank you for your support as we seek to honor the Lord and take our responsibility as a neighbor seriously through these unprecedented days.

After much prayer and thoughtful consideration, our leadership has reached the unanimous decision to resume public worship gatherings beginning Sunday, January 10th.

We are so excited to welcome you back and will initially offer:
• Two services each Sunday morning at 9:00 and 11:00am
• Wednesday PM Bible Study at 7:00pm (beginning January 13)

Please keep the following information in mind:

1-Your safety is important to us.

We have done everything possible to ensure a safe and comfortable worship environment for your family. We are making every effort to ensure that Gethsemane Baptist Church is the safest place you will visit outside your home.

Surfaces will be sanitized between services and hand sanitizer will be available throughout our facility.

2-Please maintain social distancing.

Feel free to greet one another with friendly waves but keep recommended distance between family groups. Please be considerate of the social distancing preferences of others.

3-Face coverings are currently mandated for EVERYONE during your visit to our facilities.

We will have a limited number of masks available upon request. Please consider bringing your mask from home and wearing it during your visit.

4-Your children are always welcome!

We look forward to our nursery and children’s church ministries resuming soon.

5-Stay home if you are not ready.

All our services will continue to be live-streamed on our Facebook Page and YouTube channel. We strongly encourage those who are at-risk or have underlying medical conditions to consider joining us online!

6-Our schedule will continue to expand as conditions begin to improve in Tazewell County.

We look forward to our Youth/Children’s ministries, Welcome Station, Sunday School classes and Sunday PM schedule resuming soon.
